Big congratulations to Eugene Robinson for winning the 2009 Pulitzer Prize for Commentary today, with his columns covering the 2008 presidential election. The Post has assembled the columns that won him the prize, go read them.

Robinson’s award (granting a sweet $10,000 plus the ability to charge just about whatever he wants henceforth) was the only one for the Washington Post this year. While in past years, the Post has fared well in the Pulitzers, this year it was the New York Times that dominated the prizes, winning 5 of the 14 categories. Ouch! That’s got to smart.
