While today suggests the ground might still be soggy come Saturday, the seventh annual Crafty Bastards Arts & Crafts Fair is scheduled for this Saturday, 10 to 5, in Adams Morgan.

This year’s participants should offer a variety of hand-crafted items, food, music, and stations where you can do a bit of crafting yourself. Vendors likely to send me to the ATM this year are a mix of new-to-me and old favorites including Figs & Ginger and The Littlest Bean jewelry, Eve VanDalsen wallets, Brownstone Farms yarn, and Giant Dwarf accessories.

If seeing people turning their creative endeavors into a little business inspires you to get commercial with your own talents, you need not wait until next year’s Crafty Bastards. Positive Force DC is putting on a Punk Rock Flea Market in November – and they are still actively seeking vendors. A wide variety of hand-made, vintage, and other tables will be accepted. A table is $15 to reserve – but potential vendors should be in touch with the organizers as soon as possible, so figure out just how many anarchy-symbol vegan-yarn hoodies you can knit up by November 6th and get to work!

Brittany has tried to leave DC, it just never lasts. She has lived in Chicago, California, and China – but she always comes back home. Brittany is a drinks, nightlife, and style correspondent for We Love DC. Between columns, you can find her on Twitter, Tumblr, or standing by the bar. Email her at brittany(at)welovedc.com.
