Maya is a native Washingtonian. She graduated from the University of Wisconsin - Madison with a B.A. in English Language and Literature and goes weak at the knees for a satirist. Maya currently works at a performance rights organization ensuring artists and copyright owners receive their royalties from digital radio. When she’s not working, you can usually find her hustling suckers on the district’s kooshball courts. She loves reading Magical Realism, creative writing, and dancing at inopportune moments. Her favorite days include Outkast, chicken fingers, or a fun fact.
