‘What the Heck?’

One of my friends in Boston once told me he thought the road projects there tended to fall into two categories. The first was legitimately needed fixes and changes. The second was “my cousin needs a job.” This sure seems more like the second.
Proposed resolution PR18-878 would approve new rules under the alcohol board that would cover retailers who sell alcohol in the district. They’d have to post a conspicuous sign that covered these three topics:
- Drinking and driving is dangerous
- Drinking alcohol during pregnancy has risks
- The legal drinking age and the need to present ID
I suspect this will come in handy when Marty McFly steps out of a DeLorean from the early 80s since he’s the only person not aware of this at this point. It’ll also probably be a boon to sign manufacturers.
Well I used to say something in my profile about not quite being a “tinker, tailor, soldier, or spy” but Tom stole that for our about us page, so I guess I’ll have to find another way to express that I am a man of many interests.
Hmm, guess I just did.
My tastes run the gamut from sophomoric to Shakespeare and in my “professional” life I’ve sold things, served beer, written software, and carried heavy objects… sometimes at the same place. It’s that range of loves and activities that makes it so easy for me to love DC – we’ve got it all.
