May day! May day! Tonight art galleries across the city are hosting spring openings and receptions in conjunction with ye ole First Friday. The most exciting of these are within a 3 block radius in Dupont, with the opening of “Post Secret: Confessions on Death, Life and God” headlining the bunch.

Studio Gallery on R presents a trio of artists: Cynthia Jawitz Brower,
Chris Chernow and Katya Kronick in a display that opened Tuesday evening. “A Prelude to Warmth,” featuring artists Andrey Bogoslowsky, Erica Melville, and Linda St. Clair will grace the walls of The Aaron Gallery.  The Washington Printmaker’s Gallery‘s “Ephemera: Shadows and Transparencies” will hopefully not be so fleeting so as to preclude a glimpse tonight and  Gallery 10, Ltd. keeps cool despite the burgeoning warmth with its “Wind Weather and Remembering the Glaciers.”

For easy planning, check out the map below and peg out your gallery hopping for the eve.
