Newseum: DC’s Largest Elevator

Have you seen the shiny new elevator for the Newseum’s conference center? Oh my, it is huge!With enough room for 20 to 30 people, I think it may be larger than some apartments. It is definitely the largest people moving (vs. freight) elevator I have seen in DC. Hell, it may be the largest I’ve seen anywhere.

Married, mortgaged, and soon to be a father, Wayan Vota is in the fast lane to mid-life respectability – until the day his brood finds his intimate journal of global traveling and curses him with the ever-eternal reply “I’m gonna be just like you, Dad!”

  1. When I visited there and took the huge elevator, I remember a Newseum employee telling us that it was the biggest (or maybe tallest?) pneumatic elevator in the world?
